Hundreds of members and new members turned up at the Javea U3A Open Day at the Parador hotel to meet group leaders and view what is on offer. A number of groups manned tables in the main hall, including the Railway Group, Live Art, Board Games, Canasta, Rummikubs, Family History, Poetry for Pleasure, Watercolour Painting, Chess and Petanque … as well as Travel and Spanish Culture & Cuisine. Congratulations to Groups Coordinator David Whybrow and vice-president Peter Allin for organising the event.
