Can you help as a volunteer driver?

Cancer support charity MABS desperately needs more volunteer drivers – so if you are able to assist, your help would be much appreciated.

John Price, driver coordinator for MABS, said that more people are needed to transport patients to hospital, mostly Denia and Benidorm, for cancer treatments.

“Sometimes they may be at the hospital for only 10 minutes or sometimes a little longer,” John says. “Expenses are, of course, paid to the drivers for the use of their car. Volunteers’ commitment can be as much or as little as they want.

” I am struggling with my numbers of drivers at a time when the number of patients requiring help is increasing, now that the hospitals are doing outpatient work again.”

Any U3A member who can give their time to help out in this extremely worthwhile role can email John Price at pricey-john@hotmail.com

Your help would be so invaluable and very much appreciated.
