SUMMARY:Day Trip to Tabarca Island
DESCRIPTION:\nThis will be an ideal opportunity to visit Tabarca Island after the busy tourist period has ended and we have cooler temperatures.\n\n\n\nIt is a perfect day trip as Tabarca combines history, nature and food into one easily walkable destination.\n\n\n\nYou can comfortably walk across the entire island and see its major landmarks in about 1 to 2 hours at a relaxed pace.\n\n\n\nWithin a small area it boasts a walled town, a port, a beach, coves, a lighthouse, a defensive tower, a church, restaurants, and perfect spots for snorkeling.\n\n\n\nFor those who want a lazy day with different scenery, it’s ideal for just a meander and a leisurely lunch. Upon arrival at Tarbarca the entire afternoon is your own until the boat returns to Santa Pola.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay trip to Tabarca Island – 10th September 2026\n\n\n\nTHIS TRIP IS NOW FULL AND A WAITING LIST IS IN OPERATION. \n\n\n\n\nPlease contact \n\n\n\n\nTrip Leaders: Karen and Mark Brown\n\n\n\nMail\n\n\n\n\nif you would like to be added to the list.\n\n\n\n\nWe will leave Javea at approximately 09:00 hrs and will arrive in Santa Pola at about 10:40 hrs.\n\n\n\nWe will board a glass bottomed catamaran at Santa Pola port and depart for Tabarca. Halfway through the crossing the catamaran stops at a strategic point in the Tabarca Marine Reserve. You can go down to the glass-bottom viewing area and watch the colourful fish all in crystal-clear waters.\n\n\n\nThe pickup points will be:\n\n\n\nJávea bus station – 08:35 hrs\n\n\n\nThe bridge on Ave Augusta – 08:50 hrs\n\n\n\nWe will depart Tabarca port at approximately 16:15 hrs for our ferry crossing back to Santa Pola. There we will board our bus back to Jávea and arrive there at approximately 18:40 hrs.\n\n\n\nThe cost for the bus and catamaran round trip with gratuities will be €27 per person.\n\n\n\nBookings for this trip will be on a first come first served basis.
